Navy Pier

Navy Pier, located on the shoreline of Lake Michigan, is Chicago’s number one tourist attraction. Originally built as a pier, it proved to be much more successful as a public gathering place, and was used as a public playground consisting of numerous picnicking areas, dining pavilions, a dance hall, auditorium, and children’s playground.
