Adler Planetarium

When you look up into the sky, what do you see? Clouds, stars, birds? What if you could see more, like planets, solar systems, and science. The Adler Planetarium, the nation’s oldest planetarium, has been helping students and tourists do just that since 1930. Located on Chicago’s museum campus, the Alder Planetarium provides customers of Global Luxury Car Rentals in Chicago with access to an amazing collection of artifacts, information, and exhibits. Look beyond the clouds during your upcoming Windy City vacation and see the sky at the Adler Planetarium.

Exhibits at Adler

The exhibits at the Adler Planetarium span a variety of science topics related to space and space exploration. The following are just a few of the most popular arrangements.

Planet Explorers

This immersive hands-on attraction was created for visitors both young and old. Located on the upper level of the Planetarium, the Planet Explorers exhibit engages the senses as young explorers climb, crawl, and excavate their way through the gallery. Customers of Global Luxury Car Rentals in Chicago will find three different learning areas in the exhibit, including Exploring Earth, Exploring Space, and Exploring Planet X.

Telescopes: Through the Looking Glass

This unique exhibit takes a closer look at the technology we use to observe the universe telescopes. In this display, customers of Global Luxury Car Rentals will have the opportunity to learn about some of the world’s most important telescopes, as well as view replicas of early telescope technology.

Star shows

The most popular attraction at the Adler Planetarium has to be the amazing star shows. The Adler is unique among Chicago museums in that it offers such a wide variety of programing inside it’s theater. These include shows on the Big Bang Theory, 3D presentations, and special children’s programs. Customers of Global Luxury Car Rentals in Chicago will find three full-sized theaters at the planetarium, including the all-digital projection Definiti Space Theater and the advanced 3D Theater. Shows are offered on a regular basis at the museum, both on the weekends and weekdays.
